scion_xb_girly asked: She lives in California and I live in Texas. She is my cosigner but obviously she wont be driving the car. We don’t live in the same house and i am wondering if i can just get on my own insurance policy?

In California the cosigner does NOT have to be on the insurance policy. I don’t know about Texas though.
I had a cosignor on my first vehicle years ago and I did not have to have him on my insurance at all. I’m not sure if it would have changed in 10 years though. Check with your insurance agent, it shouldn’t be that big of a deal.
No she shouldn’t have to be. As long as your name is on the title you should be the only one that must be insured.
Only the person driving your car needs to be on your policy.
Only you are required to carry the insurance on the vehicle. It will be required to carry full coverage.
no /she will not /have to be on your policy
No, you can put yourself on the policy, and since she doesn’t even live in the same state, you likely won’t have to put her as an exclusion.
