Many places offer oil change specials that are along the lines of guaranteed 30 minutes or less. This is great if that is all you are wanting done to the car. The trouble is, they don&#039;t look for anything while servicing the vehicle. There is no incentive to find problems that you need to be made aware of.

Other places may want you to leave the vehicle for a day so they can work it into the schedule unless you tell them you plan to wait for it when you make the appointment. Few people understand that when a garage books an appointment for you, this doesn&#039;t mean they are going to work on the vehicle at that moment. The appointment is to avoid everyone dropping their car off at the same time. If you have ever been the service writer when everyone shows up at 8am to drop their car off, you know the meaning of mass confusion</description>
