I don’t know that the reasoning matters.
i buy it cause it saves on gas, thats supplied by enemy Opec nations, and i can take that saved money to pay off my car loan, and invest in CD’s and stocks and gold, etc…

The truth is, I don’t personally know any conservatives that have bought a hybrid. I personally know 2 liberals that have.

Liberals do it for the approval of their clique – it’s a commune thing. Conservatives who do it would do it for their family.
I drive a 1955 Buick that gets 17 mpg. I wish you people that drive those little death trap crap boxes would get out of my way.

Actually, if a conservative knew a liberal was driving a hybrid car…I doubt the conservative would buy one…they’re such arrogant snobs…
I’m a Constitutionalist (ultra-conservative) and I believe in taking care of the Planet we were given. I’m all for people doing the “right thing’ rather than what’s good for the wallet.
Hybriding is good; but going completely green and having super-efficient Solar/Hydrogen vehicles would be better. Unfortunately, we have a long way to go to get us off of Fossile Fuels.
