Michigan resident moving to California in a month. Is it worth buying a new car which meets California Emission standards here in Michigan and drive down to California? I am getting good deal for a new car here in Michigan plus the tax is less. I much appreciate any advice on this.

Just to ask, did you verify you couldn’t get the same discount in CA? You should be able to get some estimates online.
I would also verify you can receive this car before you leave and consider how much value you would possibly loose driving across country.
