Should I follow the car maintenance system’s indicator or the old service sticker reading to service my car?

Service sticker suggests service every 3000miles whereas Car system gives the “indicator” at roughly 6000miles.

yes, you should follow the sign and keep your car checked my any mechanic , because you never know…
Most service centers, especially the oil change places, will put on a next service date or mileage well before what is called for in the owner’s manual. Read the manual and schedule things by that.
I asked someone at an oil change place what was wrong with his oil that it was only good for 3,000 miles and he said nothing. I said the manufacturer says it only needs to be changed every 4,000-5,000 miles and you are telling me yours will only last 3,000. He didn’t have an answer.
The maintenance indicator. The oil change places naturally want you to come back as often as possible to keep their profits up so they perpetuate the old “3000 miles/3 months” advice. The Honda system tracks the “wear” on your oil based on your driving habits and the environmental conditions, which should be better than a decades old rule of thumb.
