chadkoo83 asked: I dont own a car but i’m covered under my dad’s car insurance. I’m planning on renting a car in a few days, but i’m wondering if i wil be covered under the car insurance when i get into an accident with a rental car. and in this situation should i get the extra car insurance that rental car companies offer?

no, its a rip-off
No… like the above person said, it is a rip-off…. and you’re already covered. Check with your credit cards – sometimes they offer free car rental insurance (as a backup plan)
Call your Dad’s insurer and ask them.
If you are under the age of 25, YES…
This is a question you should ask the insurance agent since they all have different policies regarding liability.
As for comp/collision, most credit cards offer this protection for free if you use their cards to pay for the rental. But check to make sure your card offers this feature.
“…when I get into an accident with a rental car…”
When, not if? EEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKK.
Call your agent and ask if you’re covered. As suggested earlier sometimes your credit card company will give coverage.
If you have car insurance on your own vehicle then no. Your personal car insurance will cover you.
