Someone is buying my car Saturday from New York and the DMV will be closed?

God is Awesome! asked: Is it okay to do a bill of sale and let him drive off without going to the DMV? Since the DMV will be closed I don’t have much of a choice. We are doing an even trade. Any advice??

why not wait until monday? if he drives away in your car with your plates, he could run over a kid or rob a bank and the police will come looking for YOU. Also, you could get sued if he causes an accident and injures someone.
really all you have to do is sign the back of title under seller and then he signs as buyer then its his…. take your plates let him go
Call the DMV Fri, I know there is a way to do it, my buddy did it and I cant remember what its called. But call the DMV or call an auto tag place, they should be able to tell you what to do.
