How to approach and what to look for when buying a NEW car?
I’m working and saving up to buy a new car. I’m looking at buying a new Dodge Charger (won’t buy it until next summer though). When I go to buy the car I will have nearly 2/3’s of the MSRP ready for the down payment. I have no credit (except for a cell phone in my name) but in December I am going to take out a small loan and repay it so I can establish credit.
What I need to know is how the whole process of buying a new car works. What do I need to look out for? How do I prepare myself or whatever? etc. etc. etc.
Can anyone give me tips or point me to the right websites where I can learn about this stuff?

Is it worth getting a Costco membership before buying a new car?
I am considering buying a new Toyota and the dealership I’m considering is a Costco authorized dealer which gives you a discount for being a Costco member. Some people have said it is ~3000 bucks and the membership is only 50. They don’t tell you what kind of discount you get though until you have a membership number.
Has anyone had experience with this discount program?

Michigan resident moving to California in a month. Is it worth buying a new car which meets California Emission standards here in Michigan and drive down to California? I am getting good deal for a new car here in Michigan plus the tax is less. I much appreciate any advice on this.

3. Would it be better to just put a large down payment and get
a smaller loan (which I could try to pay off sooner)?
Of course I would make sure to have enough for emergencies afterward.

Is buying a new car manufactured on Monday or Friday worse?

But what i would like to know is, after i pay it off with monthly payments, do i still have to pay monthly payments, or do the payments stop? Like if i buy a 20,000 car and payed 5,000 up front and kept paying monthly until i payed the rest of the 15,000, would i monthly payments stop? I understand id still have to pay monthly for insurance.
