How many miles should be on a new 07 car that I’m buying new?

by Cars & Motorcycles

I’m buying a new 2007 car instead of the 08. It has 169 miles on it already- is this unusually high? Even though it has probably been at the dealership for at least 6 months or more? Could it be that this car was used by the dealership?

How to approach and what to look for when buying a NEW car?

by Cars & Motorcycles
May 7th, 2009

I’m working and saving up to buy a new car. I’m looking at buying a new Dodge Charger (won’t buy it until next summer though). When I go to buy the car I will have nearly 2/3’s of the MSRP ready for the down payment. I have no credit (except for a cell phone in my name) but in December I am going to take out a small loan and repay it so I can establish credit.

What I need to know is how the whole process of buying a new car works. What do I need to look out for? How do I prepare myself or whatever? etc. etc. etc.

Can anyone give me tips or point me to the right websites where I can learn about this stuff?

Is it worth getting a Costco membership before buying a new car?

by Cars & Motorcycles
May 6th, 2009

I am considering buying a new Toyota and the dealership I’m considering is a Costco authorized dealer which gives you a discount for being a Costco member. Some people have said it is ~3000 bucks and the membership is only 50. They don’t tell you what kind of discount you get though until you have a membership number.
Has anyone had experience with this discount program?

by Cars & Motorcycles
May 6th, 2009

I’m a Minnesota resident buying a used car in New York. In Minnesota the plates always stay with the vehicle, in New York the plates always stay with the person, so the car I’m buying doesn’t have plates for me. I won’t get the title until I get to New York so what do I need to be able to drive this vehicle back and where do I get it?
