I oppose national healthcare based for any reason because I take a strict opinion of the U.S. Constitution, which does not mention healthcare, therefore it can not be done. I also have other criticisms of my government for the things they do, but I digress to the healthcare point.

I also do not believe it will happen because insurance companies will fight the choice, our government size and debt situation limits the ability to assume national healthcare, and there are too many people like me in the country who oppose this. With that said, I believe healthcare should be supported by individuals by paying their own monthly insurance premiums, granted I know I am struggling financially to pay for my own costs, but it has to be done.

I suspect the problem lies with the insurance companies themselves in how they treat customers by failing to pay amounts needed to cover an insured person's needs. So many times, they do not want to pay, and the way they treat customers is not customer friendly nor professional. I believe in reforming the companies instead of making them a government issue.

I know the U.S. is the only non-industrialized country not to have nationalized health insurance, but on principle the government we have now is incompetent and inefficient to take on something from this massive. Solutions have to come from private sector and average citizen.

The big 3 need to reorganize themselves and come out with products people want. Just because they go chapter 11 does not mean that they are liquidating their assets.

You are aware this is happening BECAUSE of health care costs, right? And your idea is to implement this on a grander scale? That's deep.

The big three will never go out. They might be forced into bankruptcy restructuring. But never out completely. Although it is possible I think it's highly unlikely.

The only thing Bush wants is to get the hell out of D.C. forever.

I'll think about embracing socialized health care when we have a Federal Government that actually works efficently.
