People would buy electric cars , if they can be re-charged indefinitely, with no additional costs! As to convienance-(for charging outlets), these arena's must be totally accessable, with nothing more than a minor maintenance+ the actual energy consumed, fee to be imposed. I see recharge hubs ,charging less than $15 to fully supply a 3000lb. 6 passenger van with enough energy to travel 350 miles, over the next 7 days. Anything beyond that price, is ludricous, immoral, and fully taking advantage of the public. It is nothing less than stealing away hard earned wages, from the public in general, and even more disaterious, upon the freshly invited, tender new adults, who wish to join society. Have you an answer that delivers truth and honesty vs. calculated slavery? I'd like to here your take!

Electric cars are a non-starter in the USA. People are too wigged out about the battery-range thing. Wait until plug-in hybrids are common, and people go a whole year without ever using the onboard gas engine, and they start going "hey wait, why did I pay $5000 extra for the gas engine?" And people will figure out that electrics CAN work.

I say yes. Recharging stations can be built anywhere with the help of solar panels. The energy from the sun will charge your car making this process completely renewable rather than depending on a nonrenewable source of energy like oil.

Yes.Living in an apartment building with on street parking would present a major problem. No access to outside receptacles. You would also need recharging stations at all hotels and motels.Cross country trips could be difficult. We'd really have to make some major changes but I think it would be more than worth it.
