Would you care if your car salesman smelled like smoke?

Nathan asked: say he’s friendly, 24 years old and pretty nice looking. remember you’ll be taking a test drive with him and negotiating about the price and he’ll be answering all your questions about the car. would him being a smoker make you less or more likely to buy the car or wouldn’t you care? just wondering
yeah, cigarettes

it woudlnt matter to me
i actually like that smell
soo yeah
Does he smell like cigarette or marijuana smoke?
I wouldnt care if the guy smelled like Feces as long as he knocked a few thousand off the car price. I plan on taking the car home…not the salesman after all
Tobacco smoke would be alright, but not Marijuana smoke or something like that.
Depends what kind of smoke. Cigarettes? No, I wouldn’t mind. Marijuana? Maybe a little. I wouldn’t want a guy completely stoned to be selling me a car.
it would be a distraction and i might end up asking for another salesman.
I wouldn’t mind; the smell of cig smoke itself doesn’t really bother me. I’d survive, and would be more concerned with how good a job he does.
i would ask for a salesman who doesnt smoke, or just go to a different dealership. smoke and asthma dont do well together and a major asthma attack is not worth the morons feelings
as long as my car didnt smell like smoke i dont care
no. my parents smoke and it doesn’t bother me anymore. unless they are actually smoking in the car. but the smell on the clothing or hands or wherever doesn’t bother me
Who in the world doesn’t smoke now a days? seriously, it wouldn’t matter.
As long as he didn’t light up anywhere near me, I could care less. I don’t find nice looking and 24 a good factor however. Better to deal with the more experienced.
It would probably be OK, but I might have to cut the test drive short. I don’t do well with smoke.
Ahh well, if i knew he was a smoker yet didn’t smell like smoke; i wouldn’t care.
But the lingering smell of smoke always makes me think of bad hygiene.
Where I work we are expected to have good oral health, and take care any undsirable odors..so i would be rather turned off to him in general.
Would it stop me from buying a car i really love?
No.
Why would that matter?
Oh, a smoker! The salesperson did not just crawl up from the fiery pit.
I would not care, at least not consciously. Some rabid anti-smokers I know would. Salespeople beware!
id get him high, then negotiate prices
nevermind what i said then..
I really wouldn’t care because I know some salesmen that will smoke with there customers even though they don’t really smoke. It’s like they are suddenly buddies after they smoke together. Weird but true.
Now if my dr smoked or was obese I would probably change doctors.
if it was really strong stench then yes, smoke scent can turn people off, it is a huge distraction, especiall if ur in a car with them it would make me not want to buy a car from him or the company..
i wouldn’t care as long as the car doesn’t smell
